Five Boro Bike Tour

I took part in my first Five Boro Bike Tour today. Around 39 miles on every borough in New York City, they closed off streets, parks, bridges and highways for biking. It was pretty nice riding my bike on the highway I usually drive on. Took me around 5 hours to finish. That's very good time for me seeing how I've never been on a bike for more than 3 hours, ever. My behind is feeling it right now. Here's a picture of me in my orange getup for the ride.

I finally uploaded some photos from my trip to Utah. You'll find it at the photo gallery.

Utah

I've been back from my trip to Utah for over a week and still too lazy to post pictures. Hopefully I'll get in the mood to look over hundreds of photos to pick out good ones to put up. The snow was good in Utah, it is the best snow on earth.

The Bodies!

I went to see Bodies The Exhibition yesterday. It was pretty interesting, just like a Discovery channel show except I'm there to see everything. My favorite part were the blood vessels, it was kind of like an aquarium, just need to add fish.

Someone told me all the bodies were chinese, don't know if that's true but if it is I'd question how they got the bodies. Or maybe it's just cheaper to import from China, like everything else. Beef jerky anyone?

Arcade Cabinet

My friend and I recently played with the idea of building an arcade cabinet, and since it seemed like fun and we had nothing better to do we went ahead with that idea. We first got ourselves an X-Arcade for the joystick, then we built the cabinet around it. You can take a look at the arcade cabinet pictures in the photo gallery to see the process and the finished product.

It's far from perfect, but we made it, it works, and we had fun doing it. So it's all good.

Failed Update and New Pictures

I tried to update CuteNews but it turns out the new version has a mandatory "Powered By" message at the bottom of the news, so I decided to revert back. I'm perfectly fine with the "Powered By" message, I've always had it on the right side of my homepage, but I don't like them deciding where it goes. So I'm going to have to start looking for a new (simple) content management system.

Since I had nothing to do I posted some of my photos from Arcadia National Park, Cleveland, and Fire Island.

New Gmini 400

Archos didn't fix my Gmini, they sent me a new one. It works fine and I'm happy. Was hoping they would send me the new Gmini 402, but I guess that's too much to hope for.

Gmini 400 Screen Busted

I just sent my Gmini 400 in for repairs, the screen is busted. I get a white screen on startup and nothing else. It sometimes works again, but quickly fades to black after a little use. Hope they fix it without giving me trouble (I've been a little rough with it), else I take back everything nice I said about them. I'm probably never going to get an expensive item like this again, probably get a nice small flash player next time.  Something from Creative, my Nomad II still works like a charm, it's what I'm using now.
